Homepage with various extra features

Client

Ecolite AG, Wolfhausen

A homepage has a lifespan of approximately five years. Then a design order must be drawn up to decide whether the website is still up-to-date, whether a design refresh or at most a complete redesign is necessary. The crucial questions in this process are:

  • Does the visual look still fit the graphic perception of the target group, or has the visual perception in the society changed significantly?

  • Are the content and structure of the website still up-to-date, or do minor or major adjustments need to be made in this regard?

  • Do the customer's needs and/or the possibilities offered by the internet result in meaningful new functionalities?

In 2020, we were allowed to design the homepage for Ecolite AG, which looked like this:

Since then, the company's management has been expanded, the available products have been more clearly divided into systems, and the Download Center – a digital hub for architects and facade builders– has been expanded. These changes should be taken into account in the new website. In addition, the customer wanted to use new sorting functions to enable, for example, selection for facade materials and/or the Ecolite systems used in the reference projects. The homepage of the new homepage is presented as follows:
